The Global Food Defense Institute assists companies in addressing many areas and facets of the business operations of an organization.  The mechanisms by which the facility protection plan will have a very positive impact upon the profitability of an organization includes:
  • Creation of company security, safety (OSHA compliance), product protection, Crisis Incident Response, facility protection and policy and procedure to address all areas of real or potential vulnerability to harm of employee’s and customers, loss, exposure to potential liability, protection of brand reputation, etc. from a security perspective and focus.
  • Analysis and Identification of focused and broad mitigation strategies to protect against terrorism, crime, natural disasters, etc. for all company locations – and the creation of a plan to address these risks, based on the data, through a standardized deployment and/or application of security measures including: protective security systems and physical security measures, security policy and procedure specific to vulnerability level by location, security awareness training of company employees, etc. – based on the level of exposure of the particular locations determined by the assessment analysis.
  • Analysis of security related threats through the utilization of the FDA’s Carver Shock program, as well as (ORM) Operational Risk Management methodologies of assessment for the purposes of revealing and addressing non-compliance with FSMA, (Food Safety Modernization Act), security policy and procedure, and revealing potential criminal and terrorism activity initiating investigations with the purpose of addressing and correcting all issues caused by intentional activities from internal or external sources.
  • Creation of an investigations policy and procedure for initiating any investigation into theft, embezzlement, and/or impropriety – providing for a procedure to properly begin the investigative process to avoid exposure to liability in this very sensitive area, and to begin the investigative process to provide for a successful resolution to any such incident and full recovery of any losses incurred in the incident(s).
