Rolf Uys
Rolf resides in Cape Town South Africa. He holds a BSc. Honours degree from UOFS and a MSc. Food Science degree from the University of Stellenbosch. His Masters thesis was on implementing HACCP for the seafood industry. He has lead auditor qualifications for most of the major food safety accreditation schemes. He joins ENTECOM after being Manager, Africa, Middle East and Europe at AIB international. This included food safety auditing and training in more than 60 countries over a 15 year period. During this time he has gained a great deal of expertise in the finer points of food safety including interpretations of HACCP, Allergen Management, Hygienic Design, Integrated Pest Management, Microbiological Monitoring, Traceability, Food Defence and Forensic Inspections. He also has a keen interest in the softer skills of food safety namely understanding root cause analysis, motivation of personnel and integrating systems to actually make food safety work.
